We started the dream of opening an aquatics safety academy twelve years ago, and we are proud to open our doors to you. Our passion for water safety is the driving force in all we do. After years spent teaching children to swim in our own backyard pool, we are fortunate to open a state-of-the-art facility that can now enable so many more children to learn to swim. We staff only the best to teach our students proper swim safety. We don’t see ourselves as a swim club; we are a professional academy that will produce not only safe swimmers, but proper stroke development for competitive swim.

We know that we are giving something back to the people of Katy, Houston, and surrounding communities when we hear someone tell us that their child has fallen into the water and saved his own life by floating or swimming to the edge. It is a priceless gift that we hope to giving for years to come.

Texas Swim Academy

Teaching Water Safety Skills in Katy & Houston

Early swim lessons set a positive foundation towards a lifetime of participation in a variety of water sports and aquatic adventures. Our goal at Texas Swim Academy is to provide the families in Katy and the greater Houston area access to a result oriented swimming program. We will advance students from water safety to confident water enjoyment.

We accomplish these goals with an intensive in water training by Certified Infant Survival Swim Specialist and TSA trained stroke development instructors. Our methods are effective due to the consistency and repetitive teachings we provide.

Your child is only as safe around the water as their skills allow them to be. We believe every child should learn water safety at a young age, and then build upon those valuable skills. Our program allows children to learn lifesaving swim skills in weeks, not years.

We are a year round indoor facility. We have five 12 x 12 pools used for teaching private infant swim lessons and have a 30 x 60 pool used for stroke development, group lessons, and pre-competition. Our pools are heated and kept at 88-90 degrees in order to keep students comfortable.

Your high expectations have encouraged my child to work hard and progress very quickly. I appreciate the coaches!

Brent Kieschnick

Our son has learned so much in the short amount of time that he has been attending lessons at TSA. We LOVE Melissa, she is fantastic with our little one. She is very patient and kind-hearted even when he screams the entire lesson (which is almost every time). We are very impressed.

Sarah A Malik

So far I’m very pleased with class structure, the activities, the care taken of my kids and the skills & professionalism of their instructor Ms. Shannon.

Maria Mainieri

I am very happy with your program. My son has finally learned to swim and he feels confident about swimming independently. He likes his instructor, Vasco, a lot.

Kelly Luszcz

Both of my girls absolutely love swim lessons and their coaches. They have developed confidence and new skills in the water. After trying many different swim lesson companies and instructors we have found a perfect fit. They look forward to their lessons and work hard to challenge themselves.

Michelle Evans

“We are so thankful for Shannon! She has been so wonderful and patient with our screaming son. The staff is always so nice and helpful. We could not be more pleased with Texas Swim Academy! Thank you for teaching our son the skills to save his life one day if an accident were to occur!!!
