Cody Brewer

Growing up in Southwest Missouri, Cody was always surrounded by bodies of water. Whether it was a pond or creek in the pasture, a river to float on, a lake, or a pool, she loved any body of water and all the activities that came with it, especially being outside.

Cody has spent most of her adult life raising her own children and working in jobs that allow her to teach and coach children of all ages. She specialized in teaching children from birth to kindergarten but also worked with children up to high school age. Even though her children are grown, she still has a deep love and passion for teaching and working with children.

Cody always believed that knowing how to swim and understanding water safety were essential for her own children. They spent a lot of time growing up in public pools, lakes, water parks, and their grandmother’s pool. However, it wasn’t until her grandson was a year and a half old that she discovered Survival Swim and realized what an invaluable tool it could be for him. Knowing he was a fearless child, she saw how Survival Swim could provide peace of mind for his mom and grandparents. Watching him learn the skills, gain confidence, and experience joy in his accomplishments convinced her of the program’s value. It gave him the necessary skills and a healthy respect for the water.

After much prayer and guidance, Cody was given the incredible opportunity to bring Survival Swim to her hometown and surrounding communities. She has completed over 100 hours of intense, hands-on training and classroom work in the Survival Swim Development Network’s training certification program. With her previous experience and new knowledge, she is well-equipped to teach life-saving skills and water safety.

Statistics show that drowning is the number one cause of accidental death in children ages 1-5 years old. Cody is passionate about teaching children to swim and instilling the skills and confidence they need to enjoy the water safely. She also aims to provide parents with valuable water safety knowledge and peace of mind. If you have a child, she would love to teach them to swim, build their confidence, and develop a respect for the water.
