Amber Miller

Howdy! I am Amber Miller and I am a certified SSDN Instructor serving southwest Fort Worth and the surrounding areas. I have a passion for teaching survival swim lessons and providing pool and water safety outreach and education to the community. Drowning does not discriminate and it can happen to any family.

I learned about survival swim programs when I was seeking quality swim lessons for my son that is diagnosed with autism.  He needed a trained instructor that understood child development, behavior and was experienced in working with special needs.  Unfortunately, there was not a certified survival swim instructor within a hundred miles of our home.  So then, I decided to become a momma on a mission. My mission is to provide quality survival swim lessons to infants and children with or without special needs in the effort that they acquire the essential skills they need to help them be confident and safe in and around water.

I graduated from West Texas A&M with a degree in Social Work and from UTA with a Masters of Science in Social Work.  I have completed courses and trainings in behaviors and the Autism Spectrum, including the “Swimming with Autism” instructor workshop.  I am certified in infant, child, and adult CPR, AED and First Aid.  I have worked with children of all ages including children with special needs for many years in different professional and personal roles and I am honored to teach survival swim lessons in Cowtown and surrounding areas.

(areas may include Crowley, Benbrook, Godley and other nearby communities)
